Chiredzi – Chiredzi Christian College teacher, Ngoni Vandirai (pictured) is no more.
Vandirai passed on at Premier Hospital in Chiredzi at around 2pm on Wednesday. She was 52.
She has been battling eye cancer for the last three years.
Chiredzi Schools District Inspector Petronella Nyangwe confirmed the death and referred The Mirror to the school head for further information.
Chiredzi Christian acting head Alimoni Lisimati said Vandirai’s death was a blow to the school.
“The school will never be the same without her,’’ said Lisimati.
The deceased’s young sister Chipo Vandirai Zvada said the late battled eye cancer for three years and she was taken to numerous specialists without success.
Vandirai will be laid to rest tomorrow (Saturday) at Chiredzi Cemetery. She is survived by two children.
She joined Chiredzi Christian College in 2009. Before that she was at Chiredzi Government Secondary school and Makambe in Chikombedzi.
